SKINVIVE — Allergan AestheticsSKINVIVE is the first FDA-approved microdroplet injectable, designed specifically to improve the smoothness of cheek skin in adults over 21. It is a different category of product from traditional fillers — no volume is added, no shape is changed. Tiny intradermal beads of modified hyaluronic acid hold hydration in the dermis itself, producing a lasting, lit-from-within finish.

Smooth, crosslinked hyaluronic acid is injected as a grid of microdroplets directly into the upper dermis. The HA binds water in the skin, improving hydration and the way light refracts off the surface. Because the product sits intradermally rather than as a volumising bolus, it changes skin quality — not facial shape.
What to expect in the room.
Topical numbing, then a grid of micro-injections across the cheeks using a fine 30G needle. Small bumps (hyaluronic acid pillows) may be visible for 12 to 24 hours and resolve as the product disperses. No bruising in most clients.
Avoid makeup and exercise for 24 hours. Gentle skincare for 72 hours; SPF as usual.

- Can it be combined with traditional filler or Botox?
- Yes — SKINVIVE pairs naturally with both. Many clients do Botox, structural filler if needed, then SKINVIVE as the finishing skin-quality layer.
- Is the bumpiness normal?
- Yes. Microdroplet placement means small visible bumps for the first 12 to 24 hours. They flatten as the product disperses into the dermis.
